Petite Palate is gourmet baby food.
Did you know that the high heat used in the jarring process destroys many of the vitamins and nutrients that occur naturally in the food. They then need to add vitamins and minerals back into the foods. For this reason, Petite Palate’s meals are Flash Frozen. This maintains the food’s nutritional content while sustaining the shelf life (frozen). Nothing is added to their foods! Petite Palate's meals are packaged in eco-friendly paper cups. Better for you (no BPA) and better for the environment.
Petite Palate's Premier Line currently comes in 6 flavors.
In 2009, Lisa and Christine released their Quick Guide to Homemade Baby Food. The guide contains 50 easy to make recipes and is organized by proper foods for your baby's age.
Where to Buy
Petite Palate foods can be purchased at Amazon. You can get the six pack sampler for $20.88 and the individual flavors in 12 packs for $37.91 or 24 packs for $49.07.
Over Thirty Mommy's Thoughts
I originally thought that I would make all of Wiggle Beans food for her (what was I thinking!). While I was able to make some for her, I just did not have the capability to do it all with out having to purchase store bought baby food. Feeding my daughter organic food is very important to me and my husband. We do not want her eating all the chemicals and pesticides that goes onto food. The Petite Palate foods are a great way to feed her fresh organic meals when I can not fix them myself. We just put the flavor of choice in the fridge the day before and it was ready to eat for dinner. Bean's favorite flavor was Banana Peach Blend. She usually gets bored with one food before is it gone but with this one she eat the entire container. I did sneak a taste and it was so delicious. It tasted like freshly pureed bananas and peaches, fancy that since the entire ingredient list consisted of Organic Bananas, Organic Peaches and Organic Ginger Root. Sure they are a little more expensive than a jar of food at the store (between $2.04 and $3.48 per 4oz container) but the quality of the ingredients and food make it worth the extra cost.
WIN IT!!!
Thanks to Petite Palate, one Over Thirty Mommy reader will win The Petite Palate Quick Guide to Homemade Baby Food.
