OrganicaPure Natural Skin Care - Review and Giveaway

OrganicaPure Natural Skin Care

I love skin care products, I always have but my selections changed drastically when I had my daughter 2 1/2 years ago (OMG!  I can hardly believe she is 2 1/2 already!).  While I was pregnant (I was one of those crazy first time parents that had to research everything pregnancy and baby related), I read many articles on how baby skin is more absorbent and sensitive than adult skin and how the chemicals in regular skin care products can negatively affect them.  I made a promise to myself to search out more natural and organic alternatives to my skin care products and tossed almost all of my old lotions, makeup and perfumes.

About OrganicaPure
OrganicaPure is a skincare line born from the obsessive and constant pursuit for purity. Thier products harness the power of three simple, yet powerful ingredients: Cocoa, Honey, and Aloe Vera. OrganicaPure utilizes the knowledge and research conducted on the benefits of these three ingredients and combines them to produce high quality skincare products.

The Organic Mission
Our mission is to deliver skincare in its purest form. We are proud to return skincare to what it should be - using science to simplify and Earth to beautify. Organica Pure is compromised to develop their products based on organic principles, using only suppliers with an organic process of harvesting on the main ingredients. To develop high quality skin and hair care products using natural ingredients as our foundation.
Over Thirty Mommy's Thoughts
I sampled two products from OrganicaPure and they were both wonderful. I have used many types of lotions in the past and found some of them to be more drying than moisturizing to my skin, that was not the case with either OrganicaPure lotions.

The first product that I tested was OrganicaPure's delectable smelling Cocoa & Honey Anti-Stretch Mark Lotion.  Let me just make things clear to any family members that might be reading this, No I am not pregnant nor am I trying to get pregnant.  OK, now that that is out of the way I can get back to my review.  Since I am not pregnant and luckily did not get any stretchmarks from my first and only pregnancy, I can not comment on how well the lotion did in regards to reducing the appearance of stretchmarks but I can tell you that it moisturized extremely well and did not leave a greasy feeling on my skin after application.  The product descriptions says that it will "reduce the look of stretch marks, scars, and minor imperfections."  I plan on using this on a few minor scars left from a knee surgery that I had a few years ago to see if it will lighten their appearance but mostly I love it for the smell.  I practically wanted to take a bite of my own arm, it smelled so good.  All chocolaty with a hint of Mint, YUM!!!!

The second product that  I reviewed was the OrganicaPure Aloe Vera & Honey Organic Body Lotion.  While I would have liked the honey scent to be a bit stronger, I still liked it very much.  It made an excellent after sun lotion and was very soothing on the skin.  The lotion left no oily residue on my skin and absorbed fully.  Did you know that both Aloe and Honey act as anti-agers?  I recently found my first wrinkles, maybe they have been there and I pretended not to notice but now they are undeniable. (the things we go through for our children, I am sure she is aging me prematurely!).  Well now that I know aloe and honey are anti-agers, I will be bathing in this lotion regularly to stave off any new wrinkles (think that it will help with gray hair, I am sure it will be here soon since my daughter is 2 1/2 going on 16 and sassy as all get out!)

Overall, I really enjoyed being introduced to the OrganicaPure line of products and look forward to using them more.  The products that I am interested in trying out now are the Organic Body Wash and the Bath Salts.
