Five for Fighting “Slice” CD Review

Thanks to One2One Network, I was recently able to preview the new Five For Fighting album, Slice, featuring the song "Chances", available October 13th.  Singer/songwriter John Ondrasik has spent the past decade writing deeply personal songs that include social messages, invoke the human spirit and make an emotional connection.  Five For Fighting’s breakthrough came in 2001 with the Grammy Nominated song “Superman”.  On the 2004 release, “The Battle For Everything”, the song “100 Years” followed in the footsteps of “Superman” as yet another inspiring reflective song.

I really enjoyed listening to this album,  it contains pop songs, ballads and songs that make a statement.  My personal favorite is "Note to the Unknown Soldier".  I like the variety on this album.  Overall, I thought it was a great compilation of songs.

As if the album is not good enough, Five For Fighting will be coming to Portland Oregon on November 6th.  I can't think of a better first post baby concert, prefect for a date night with hubby!
