World Vision Gift Catalog Review and Giveaway

World Vision Gift Catalog Review and Giveaway

I have looked through countless catalogs full of toys and gifts for those on my Christmas list but have never come across anything quite like the World Vision Gift Catalog.

The World Vision catalog brings back the real meaning of Christmas, giving to others.

About World Vision
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. Visit www.worldvision.org/press.

About the Gift Catalog
More than 800,000 people around the world were impacted by gifts last year through World Vision's Gift Catalog.  The catalog offers more than 250 gifts online and in the print version ranging in price from $16 to $39,000. These gifts can be purchased in the name of a family member, teacher, co-worker or child, including many affordable items under $50.

What Kinds of things can you send?
That are so many items that you can send to those in need, for a mere $16 you can feed a family in the U.S for a day, for $30 you can give 5 ducks to a hungry family, for $75 send a goat that will nourish hungry children and families with healthy milk, cheese, and yogurt.  The list goes on and on!  It is amazing how much one can do with such a small donation.

How it Works
Choose a gift to donate in honor of someone special and select a FREE card. You can choose to have a card mailed to you, send an e-card, or download a beautiful card to print.

Your gift will bring urgent help and lasting hope for a child in need.

Along with sending h
elp where it's needed most ...you can also get a gift for yourself or someone you care about! With a financial contribution, the gift giver selects one of 36 items that can be given to someone on a holiday gift list and at the same time help a person in need.

The beauty of these items is the two-for-one benefit they provide:  1) a meaningful and affordable gift for a loved one; 2) proceeds that make a difference in the lives of children and families living in poverty in the U.S. and around the world.

With your gift of $100 or more to our Maximum Impact Fund — which provides for the unique needs of children and families worldwide — you will receive this artisan multi-colored necklace. Fight human trafficking through this beautiful semi-precious stone and glass bead necklace. Wear this unique, colorful strand long or short, as a bracelet or even a belt.

Where Can I learn More:
You can visit World Vision on the web at www.worldvision.org/  check them out on Facebook or follow them on twitter. They also have a “The True Spirit of Christmas Tour” Facebook page at www.facebook.com/truespiritofchristmas. For the third consecutive year, World Vision staff will be traveling across the world this December to see the impact that goats, sheep and other gifts have on families and children.
