About School Zone
The School Zone Learning Center began as a retail teachers supply outlet 1972.  In 1974, after changes in education, The Learning Center released a six workbook series for home use.  School Zone Publishing Company was incorporated in 1979.  The product line has expanded yearly and currently includes almost two hundred educational products.

Over Thirty Mommy's Thoughts about School Zone's Big Spelling 1-3

My little one is a bit to young for this particular spelling book (but School Zone does have a preschool line of workbooks that I will be looking into) but my sister was kind enough to let me use her son as my tester for this review.  Her son is 8 and really enjoyed the spelling book.  He though that it was "cool" and really interesting.  His mother liked how vibrant the pictures were and noticed that they kept his attention longer than other education materials they have used in the past.  She felt that all the activities kept the learning interesting and made it seem less like school work since it was fun and not just a plain boring spelling book.
